Can an off-grid system be installed outside?
Our IP55 rated Power Hub Off-Grid Systems are ideal for outside installation, and designed to protect your inverter and charge controller from rodents, dust, etc, in a shed.
Does my off-grid system need a backup generator?
Your system requires a backup diesel generator unless you install 3 days’ worth of battery storage (3 times your expected consumption for 1 day). We recommend a minimum of 1 day battery backup plus a generator, rather than 3 days of battery backup.
Will Commodore install my off-grid system?
Commodore Australia can organise a qualified electrician in your area to install your off-grid system. We have an extensive network of qualified installers.
Does Commodore provide lifetime support?
Lifetime support is free and standard with every purchase of an off-grid system from Commodore Australia. Our support team is based in Shepparton Victoria and can assist with remote installation or any questions and troubleshooting.
Can an off-grid system be installed on grid as a hybrid?
Yes. Commodore’s Power Shield Hybrid Systems provide a backup power solution for customers that need to increase their power infrastructure, even if they’re connected to the grid.
