New Power Hubs: Your Questions Answered
Which Power Hub models feature the new cabinet design?
The new cabinet is available on the Power Hub 15 XL, Power Hub 20 Commercial, Power Hub 30 Commercial and Power Hub 45 Commercial. These larger systems have been redesigned with improved battery capacity, enhanced temperature management, smarter monitoring and a more service-friendly layout.
What is new about the Power Hub cabinet?
The new cabinet has been completely redesigned to improve both performance and usability. Key enhancements include increased battery capacity, double-wall insulated construction, DC air conditioning, external LED lighting, an external battery status indicator, improved cable management, easier service access, enhanced security features and provision for future expansion.
Why is increased battery capacity important?
Greater battery capacity allows more energy to be stored, providing longer backup, greater flexibility for larger electrical loads and room for future energy requirements.
What is the benefit of the double-wall insulated cabinet?
The double-wall construction and insulation help reduce heat transfer into the cabinet, supporting a more stable operating environment for batteries, inverters and other electrical components. Combined with DC air conditioning, this helps protect critical equipment in Australia’s demanding climate.
Do all new Power Hubs include DC air conditioning?
Yes. All models in the new Power Hub range feature integrated DC air conditioning to help regulate internal cabinet temperatures and support reliable system performance.
What does the external LED status indicator show?
The external LED status indicator provides a quick visual overview of your system without opening the cabinet. It displays battery state of charge and indicates whether the batteries are charging or discharging, allowing customers and installers to quickly assess system status.
Can I monitor my Power Hub remotely?
Yes. The new Power Hub range includes Victron Cerbo GX monitoring with Victron VRM remote monitoring capability. Depending on your system configuration, you can monitor battery state of charge, solar production, energy consumption, system performance and alarms from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.
Is the new Power Hub easier to service?
Yes. The redesigned cabinet has been developed with installers and service technicians in mind. Improved internal layout, practical cable entry points, better access to key components and a modular architecture make installation, servicing and future upgrades more efficient.
Can the Power Hub be expanded in the future?
The new cabinet has been designed to support future growth. Increased battery capacity, modular system architecture and provision for additional accessories make it easier to expand your system as your energy requirements change.
Where are Commodore Power Hubs built?
