Submersible Solar Pumps in Rivers/Creeks and Low Water Depths

A common belief from farmers or persons with rivers, creeks and water sources with low water depth is they can not have a submersible solar pump, and that they are restricted to surface mount solar pumps.

Commodore has created a solution to this problem by developing strategies to counteract low water depths.

Our solution is to:

  1. Fit a cap on the end of PVC Pipe
  2. Run your length of PVC pipe (wide enough to easily fit the pump) down the river/creek/water source bank
  3. Drill/create lots of slits in the pipe to allow water through the pipe (so the submersible pump can still operate)
  4. Secure this to the river bank or your closest available area close to the surface.
