Commodore Independent Energy Systems working with Rotary International to provide clean water in remote PNG.

The images are of solar submersible pump installations which are part of a humanitarian aid project in Papua New Guinea.  We focus on providing clean water for villagers in extremely remote parts of PNG.

To date we have three of Commodore Independent Energy System’s solar submersible solutions in PNG.  One has gone virtually non-stop for two years supplying water for approximately 1000 villagers. In total Commodore’s pumps are currently supplying the first clean water ever to more than three thousand people in remote locations of PNG. In July this year we will be going back to PNG for a month and will be taking two more of Commodore’s systems with us.

My name is Tony Austin and I’m a member of the Warrnambool Rotary Club.  I coordinate several other Rotary Clubs and organisations in what we call the PNG Projects Group.  I’m delighted to now be able to say that Commodore Independent Energy Systems have joined our group. I look forward to our ongoing relationship with Linden and the team at Commodore.

If you’re interested in finding our more about our project or, even better, you’d like to help. Feel free to contact me directly or through Linden.
